The finale episode of the popular show Scandal was aired two years ago. However, the craze of the show has kept fans on the edge. The entire cast of the show recently celebrated the reunion idea virtually on July 29.
The virtual reunion of the entire cast made fans excited. Almost every cast member was present for the virtual call and they shared some incidents from behind the scene. Interestingly, Kerry Washington hinted at the possibilities to portray her character again in the future.
The Stars in the House show started during the coronavirus pandemic and hosted by James Wesley and Seth Rudetsky. The hosts decided to divide the entire stream into two parts due to the large size of the cast members involved and the technical restrictions.
In the first segment, Wesley and Rudetsky interviewed the cast members who portrayed Olivia Pope & Associates' members while the next round was done with members who portrayed characters in the White House.
Katie Lowes' character that was portrayed by Washington, joined by other cast members such as Cornelius Smith Jr. portrayed Marcus Walker, Joe Morton who portrayed Rowan Pope's character, and George Newbern who was seen in Charlie's character.
Additionally, the director of the show, Tom Verica was also roped in for the video conference along with Huck's character portrayed by Guillermo Díaz. However, Díaz's internet connection didn't have a good signal which made it difficult to continue his engagement.
As soon as the virtual discussion started, the very first topic the cast members chose was the potential is reprising the entire show, Scandal. Washington was asked she if did like to play Olivia Pope again and she said that it is difficult to imagine.
However, Washington admitted that it is tough to turn down such a great opportunity. The actress expressed her excitement to work again with all the cast members. She praised the chemistry they have across all the seasons.
In fact, she acknowledged that the relation between the cast members has become stronger every year. "We still spend time together, and we really love each other," Washington said.
While all the cast members wondered how the revival of the show would take place, Verica had an idea which was pitched in one sentence. The 56-year-old actor said that Olivia Pope's character should run for president.
While other members left in the second half, Verica and Washington were joined by Kate Burton, Tony Goldwyn, Jeff Perry, Norm Lewis, Bellamy Young, and Dan Bucatinsky.
