While Hugh Jackman has been nominated for Emmy, Ryan Reynolds does not make it to the list. The X-Men Origins: Wolverine star has received Emmy award nomination on July 28. This is the first time the actor has been nominated in the acting category.

Recently, Jackman had performed as a corrupt superintendent in an HBO movie in which he portrayed Dr. Frank Tassone. The 51-year-old actor had a virtual interview with ET where the actor spoke about his nomination for Lead Actor - Limited Series/Movie in 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards.

The actor shared how honored he felt to get nominated, at the same time, he also took a dig at his popular friend. He mentioned Ryan Reynolds during the interview and ignite more fuel to the hysterical feud.

"Blake just texted me. Said he won't get out of bed, he's furious. He's very angry with the Academy. He'll be fine. He'll spend three or four days in bed, you know, and then he'll get over it," Jackman teased the Deadpool star.

Jackman has been nominated for Emmys a few times before for his work at Oscars and Tony Awards. The actor won 58th Tony Awards for his hosting, although Bad Education is the first-ever performance in the lead for which the actor received his nomination.

The actor appreciated the honor but at the same time, he acknowledged the fact that the time is extremely difficult due to ongoing pandemic. Jackman opened up and shared his experience of 25 years in the industry. Jackman said that whenever he sees new generation actors on the list because of the quality content presented on the TV, he is glad.

However, the actor mentioned besides being honored with such huge awards, actors such as Paul Mescal who is just 24-year-old should not take it for granted. Jackman gave an example of the Normal People star and said that it might not happen again.

He advised the young talents like him to enjoy every moment of it as it is the last award. Jackman has been celebrating with a clean-shaven look in Hamptons, where he has been quarantined with his family.

The actor said that the year is weird but thanks to the community he belongs to, it finds its own way to celebrate the moments. The actor jokingly said that there is a great advantage of receiving the award virtually so that celebs don't have to hide alcohol.
