Prince Harry is a very supportive husband indeed. During his wife Meghan's voiceover gig for Disney, the prince was right there in the studio while she was actually recording!
According to Express UK, the prince was more than eager to help his wife by correcting her pronunciations. This was revealed by the movie's filmmakers, Mark Linfield and Vanessa Berlowitz. The recording was done last October but apparently, Meghan has already known about the project for a long time.
In fact, this is contrary to the rumors that it was Prince Harry who lobbied on Meghan's behalf so that she can have a voiceover gig with Disney. In the video that was taken during 'The Lion King's' premier, the prince could be seen talking to then Disney CEO Bob Iger about his wife's voiceover skills. Many thought that the royal was trying to find a job for his wife, in connection with their leaving their duties as members of the royal family.
But, Harper's Bazaar reports that the Duchess of Sussex was actually approached by the filmmakers as early as summer last year. The filmmakers were already able to tell Meghan many aspects of the film while having dinner with them in Botswana in 2017. The future princess was intrigued by the subject of the film and most especially the importance of female empowerment.
Knowing that Meghan is not only a great actress but has even given speeches in the UN, the directors then decided that she would be perfect for the role of narrating the documentary.
The documentary, entitled 'Elephant' can now be watched on Disney+. The subject of the film is about the migration of a herd of elephants through the Kalahari Desert. All the proceeds of the film will be donated to Elephants Without Borders.
Even though she recorded the voice over in October of last year, this seems to be the first job she has done since 2017 that is not connected to the royal family. Meghan has had to give up her successful Hollywood career when she got engaged to Harry.
But now that they are officially stepping back from being senior members of the royal family, Meghan can now accept more acting or voice over offers, should she wish to.
The couple is transitioning to non-royal life and becoming financially independent by moving away from the UK. They were living in Vancouver Island after the 'Megxit' but have flown to LA just before the borders were closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
