Khloe Kardashian opens up about her experiences of being a mother in a family that has so many small children in the same age-group.
The reality TV star recently spoke on the podcast of Dr. Travis Stork titled The Travis Stork Show. The media personality discussed how she is bringing up True, her 2-year-old daughter who she shares with her former boyfriend Tristan Thomson.
She thinks it is difficult to compare her daughter with her sister’s children. While Kim Kardashian West had four children in a similar age-group, her other sister Kourtney Kardashian has three small kids with her former partner Scott Disick. On the other hand, her half-sister Kylie Jenner also has a 2-year-old daughter called Stormi with ex-boyfriend Travis Scott.
She jests that all of them are in the midst of the “potty-training process” and advises parents to remember that there is no fixed timeline for children. It is because each kid has a unique way of doing things, according to this stunning mom.
The 36-year-old further said that her daughter True has a couple of cousins and there is an age gap of three months between all three of them. The reality TV star admits that there are times when see meet some of these kids and cannot help comparing them unconsciously with her little one.
However, she then tries to reason that they are all different and learn things differently. At times, she has to even remind herself of that. The star also revealed some handy parenting tips to the show’s host who recently had a baby boy.
Khloe Kardashian further feels that parenting should be a consistent effort. Whatever the parents feel like doing – love or discipline, they should be consistent with their parental strategy.
She feels that all kids are fond of routine and consistency. She gave the example of her daughter who is aware of her routine and knows that she has to rest after taking her bath.
Khloe also advises parents to be “as present” as possible. She feels living in the present is the best thing to do. She agrees it is simple to get distracted with such advanced technologies, television, and mobile phones. While it is natural to be tempted to go in different directions, Khloe feels that it makes sense to be in the present, ET reports.
Khloe Kardashian said the key reason why she and her ex Tristan are amicable co-parents of True is that she has learned to be so from her own parents Kris Jenner and Rob Kardashian even after they parted ways.
