As Prince Charles recovers from coronavirus, he shows off a photo of Prince George, his eldest grandson.
Fans of the royal family could hardly miss out on the picture of a baby placed behind the heir to the throne of Britain when the prince addressed his fellow citizens. While several people assumed that the photo belonged to Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, his youngest grandchild, there is a likelihood that the picture belonged to Prince William’s son instead of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son.
The future monarch is in self-isolation in Balmoral and released a clip where he spoke about the crisis that has affected the entire country. The Prince of Wales was also seen speaking about his own fight against COVID-19 and praised the staff of the National Health Service for their efforts.
The Guardian reports that Charles spoke about the “selfless devotion” of all those people who are the frontline fighters against the coronavirus. He also requested the countrymen “to look forward to better times to come.”
Charles also talked about his self-isolation period that lasted for 7-day after being tested positive for coronavirus. He said that his experience has been “strange, frustrating and often distressing.”
The prince added that while it is an anxious time for all, he and his wife are remembering all those people whose loved ones have succumbed to the virus, as well as, all those who have to suffer loneliness, isolation, and sickness.
While the nation faces a profound challenge, the virus has also threatened the welfare, businesses, and livelihoods of innumerable fellow citizens. The prince also sounded optimistic while addressing the nation. He said while no one knows when the situation shall improve, it will definitely happen.
However, until that time comes, people should not lose faith and hope in themselves. Prince Charles feels that instead, the citizens should look forward to the time when things shall improve.
Meanwhile, his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall did not test positive for the virus. Yet, the Duchess is also following a strict self-isolation. She will be residing in a separate portion of their home for some time, Express reports.
On the other hand, his mom, Queen Elizabeth II left for Windsor Castle after the outbreak of the virus. The Queen has also praised the country in general and the endeavor of frontline health workers.
She addressed the nation and told that everyone should change their normal routines and lifestyle for the betterment of the communities and try to safeguard the lives of the most vulnerable people.
Prince Philip was flown from Sandringham by helicopter and joins Prince Charles’ mother at Windsor Castle. Due to their advanced age, the royal couple is likely to stay there beyond Easter.
