Prince George is, allegedly, feeling the strain of his separation from Prince Harry especially now that his 7th birthday is fast approaching.
While speaking with New Idea, royal commentator Phil Dampier said that Prince George will most likely feel his uncle’s absence on his birthday. After all, this is his first birthday without the Duke of Sussex around.
Since Prince George is much older than Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, he’s the one that may understand what’s going on a little bit more.
“He has little to do with his Uncle Harry. It’s likely George is feeling the strain of separation even more than Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as his uncle lived next door in Kensington Palace for the first five years of the young prince’s life. Harry was always a loving uncle to them so I’m sure George misses him greatly,” Dampier said.
Today, Prince George has been staying in Anmer Hall with his parents and siblings because of the coronavirus pandemic. He will also be homeschooled together with Princess Charlotte at Anmer Hall.
Earlier this year, conflict resolution expert Damaili Peterman talked about Prince George’s relationship with his cousin, Archie. The expert said that the cousins are not that close and Prince William and Prince Harry are to blame.
Royal fans were quick to put the blame on Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton for their children’s lack of relationship. However, Peterman told In Touch Weekly that this isn’t the case.
Since Prince William and Prince Harry are brothers, it is their responsibility to solidify the family unit despite their alleged royal feud. Once they do, their children will most likely follow their example.
“There’s always something in the family. There’s always some sibling rivalry. There are typically some situations when you bring someone new to your family – that changes the dynamic. If they’re going to work on strengthening it, I think what they have, what most families don’t have, is the constant onslaught of the public eye and the media saying they have a strained relationship,” Peterman said.
However, Prince William and Prince Harry never had the chance to bring their children closer to each other. After all, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex already relocated to Los Angeles in March.
As of late, it is still unclear when Prince George will get to see his cousin Archie. But there are rumors that his family could go on vacation in the United States.
