Is there truth to the rumors that TV talk show host, Ellen Degeneres is getting ready to pass on the baton to someone else? The rumors started last year when her contract for her day show was ending, but here's the real truth about this issue.
Gossip Cop has done some investigations and says that this is absolutely not true at all. In fact, the host and former actress actually signed up for another three years!
The rumors were so rampant, with many tabloids claiming that several celebrities were being considered as a replacement. Some of then include none other than Mario Lopez, who claimed that he would never try to get Ellen's role. Other personalities considered include actor Neil Patrick Harris and supermodel Chrissy Teigen.
'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' continues to be very popular even up to this day. It debuted in September of 2003 but still, people line up to become a studio audience.
The widely beloved host has invited many celebrities and non-celebrities from all over the world in its almost 15 years of airing. While many are happy with how they were treated, Buzzfeed News shares that Beauty YouTuber Nikkie Tutorials seems to say that her experience was not as she expected.
"What I’ve experienced here and in other countries [is] that it's really a whole different world. It’s more distant," the beauty guru, whose real name is Nikkie de Jager claims. The influential guru gained more popularity when she admitted that she was a transgender.
While Ellen has always tried to champion the cause of the LGBTQ community, it seems that this time, she has failed to impress the guest. Nonetheless, Nikkie says it was still an honor to be a guest in the show.
Meanwhile, other celebrities are getting on the "Ellen is mean" train. Comedian Kevin Porter has issued a challenge to respond to his tweet with stories of Ellen being mean. In exchange, he will give a $2 donation fo the LA Food Bank for every story he gets.
The response has been overwhelming, although there is no way to verify whether the stories were actually true or just something made up. But Porter has decided to donate $600 anyway.
'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' has stopped filming right now due to the coronavirus pandemic. But fans will be glad to know that they will still get to see their idol in her element, for the next three years at least.
