American rapper-singer Megan Thee Stallion belts her frustration on her Twitter account after the shooting incident over the weekend.

Megan revealed on Wednesday (July 15) that she "suffered multiple gunshot wounds" [Billboard] on Sunday (July 12) in the Hollywood Hills. And recently, the rapper took on her Twitter account to express her emotions about the incident.

"Black women are so unprotected & we hold so many things in to protect the feelings of others w/o considering our own," the Captain Hook singer started her tweet. She then continued saying how it must be funny to talk about her experience to some, but she can't deny that her life has been badly hurt and traumatized.

Megan's tweet comes after her Instagram post on the same day, where she shared how thankful she is to be alive after the shooting incident that resulted in the rapper to suffer gunshot wounds. Per Megan, the scars are the result of a horrendous crime that was purposely done to her, having the intention to torment her physically.

In a report by Huffing Ton Post U.K., Megan repudiated the rumors that the cops arrested her that same night, as the concerned police officers were the ones who drove the rapper to the hospital. Before the cops drove Megan to the nearest hospital, they found a gun in the SUV.

Megan underwent surgeries to remove the bullets and is now focusing on her recovery so she could go back to what she loves the most: making music.

At the time before the shooting incident happened, Megan and Tory Lanez were seen enjoying the pool with entrepreneur-model Kylie Jenner. A few moments after, the police officers received a call about a "disturbance" near Megan's area. The police officers now hold the CCTV footage of a nearby house and are currently investigating it.

Moreover, Tory Lanez, 27, was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department on a "concealed weapon charge" and immediately posted bail.

Tory Lanez's team is yet to comment on the case.
