Princess Beatrice was compelled to postpone her marriage until 2021. She had to push back her wedding date because of the outbreak of novel coronavirus.
According to a report in Daily Mail, the 31-year-old princess was compelled to shift her wedding date after she had earlier announced to get married to her fiancé this May. The princess was originally scheduled to have her reception in Buckingham Palace’s grounds.
Beatrice’s engagement with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi was announced in 2019. The same publication has also reported that the couple was slated to get married in London’s St Jame’s Palace in the presence of Queen Elizabeth II, Beatrice’s grandmom.
Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter is apparently “very sad” about her decision. However, she feels that she did not have any other alternative because there has been a massive outbreak of coronavirus in the United Kingdom. Some royal officials have shared that her reception had to be canceled.
However, Express has reported that Angela Mollard, a royal expert seems to have let slipped that she feels that Beatrice may not get married ever because the latter had repeated issues related to her wedding announcements.
Ms. Mollard shared on a recent podcast where she referred to Beatrice as: “the poor royal bride who is never going to get married it seems.” She also mentioned that her sister Eugenie is staying with Sarah Ferguson, their mother.
In case Princess Beatrice had to proceed with her wedding in 2020, she could only have a couple of guests at the ceremony if the COVID-19 crisis continued. At present, the Church of England has limited the number of people participating in church weddings to five – the groom and bride, the priest, and only two other people as witnesses.
In other news, Sara Ferguson had put up at the royal lodge. This is known because the Duchess of York was spotted offering treats to the workers of NHS. The expert added that one of the Duchess’ friends owns a German confectionery business and she got the confectionaries delivered from there.
It seems that the Duchess of York is distributing those care packages for the staff and doctors associated with various hospitals in London. The packages include tinned fruits, cereal, dry pasta, soap, and toothpaste among others, Express reports.
According to Omid Scobie, another royal expert, Princess Beatrice will not get married before 2021. Scobie added that the reception at Buckingham Palace is not taking place any longer.
