Both Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith normally fancy remaining tight-lipped about their marriage, but things changed recently after the actress launched her talk show dubbed Red Table Talk. Aside from that, their lives have propelled straight into the spotlight after they got on Instagram.
In an interview with The Breakfast Club’s Angela Yee, singer August Alsina revealed that he was romantically involved with Jada. Will and the Girls Trip actor appeared on Red Table Talk confirmed Jada's entanglement with Alsina, but they both admitted that they have moved on from the incident and joked about being in a bad marriage for life.
While the duo remained mum about the rumors surrounding their open marriage, it looks like they share affection over romantic love. A source, Smith feels pressure to stay in a marriage to Jada, who, on the other hand, has openly admitted she never wanted to marry the MIB actor or anyone else for that matter.
In an interview with The Guardian, Pinkett Smith said she knew she wasn't a person who'd go for a conventional marriage. She described the word wife, as a golden cage, adding that she had to swallow the key. Even before she was married, she thought it would kill her, and said it nearly did.
Following a rough phase in her marriage, Pinkett Smith started craving for freedom. During an interview on Entertainment Tonight, she felt she needed more freedom. She said it was hard for her to fit inside everyone's description of who she should be, whether it was her partner, family, or even public. She said she is a free spirit at heart.

One source claims Smith feels pressure to remain in a marriage to Pinkett Smith citing the high-profile nature of their relationship. An insider told PEOPLE that they are two different people who are trying to work things out, and on top of that, they are always in the spotlight.
Smith, who had been divorced before, says getting divorced again wasn't an option during an episode of Red Table Talk in 2018.
