The Chainsmokers is indisputably back!

On July 25, The Chainsmokers, consisting of the duo Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, is set to lit up The Hamptons through their beating vibe of EDM music. The pair will be throwing a drive-in concert to raise funds for charities: Children’s Medical Fund of New York, Southampton Fresh Air Home, and No Kid Hungry.

The fundraising concert is produced and presented by lifestyle company, In The Know Experiences, and JAJA Tequila: a small scale tequila brand that Alex and Drew are shareholders.

“…we knew we had to get involved,” Alex of The Chainsmokers said when their company was offered to host the event. Alex also said that what made him accept the offer is the event’s main objectives in “giving back to small businesses and other charities,” considering their duo’s early beginnings started in a now-closed club at East Hampton.

The upcoming charity concert by The Chainsmokers is quite different from the typical concerts they throw, like having a very dense crown jumping and throwing lighters in the air. The said concert is a drive-in show requiring the concertgoers to stay in their vehicles throughout the musical entertainment.

Per Billboard, the upcoming concert will be Roses duo’s first stunt since their pre-Super Bowl play in January. The Chainsmokers also haven’t performed virtually since the coronavirus outbreak happened, preventing artists from performing with the live audience.

The concert’s stage setup is not yet known, but one thing is for sure, DJ D-Sol, Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon’s alter persona, will be the concert’s first act, alongside American singer-songwriter Matt White. As per News Day, the event is hosted by Southampton Town Supervisor Jay Schneiderman and Southampton Village Mayor Jesse Warren.

The upcoming event will be The Hamptons’ first drive-in fundraising concert that venues in the 100-acre Nova’s Ark Project sculpture park in Water Mill. Tickets for the event are now up for grabs with prices ranges $225 to $25,000 – quite a budget.

The socially distanced concertgoers will be asked to complete an online COVID-19 form before purchasing the ticket. And upon arrival in the concert gates, each ticket holder will be given a complimentary face mask and have their body temperatures taken by the concert staff. Sanitizers will be accessible inside the venue. The restrooms, on the other hand, will be sanitized every 10 minutes.
