Meghan Markle and Kim Kardashian-West could, allegedly, face off at the White House in 2024.
According to New Idea, Meghan Markle has always been interested in running for president. And Kanye West’s recent announcement that he will also be running for the 2024 elections is threatening the former royal.
An unnamed source said that even though Kardashian isn’t the one who’s going to run for president, she could be competing with Markle in the glamour department.
“Meghan is eyeing a run in 2024, and the last thing she wants is to be up against someone like Kanye and Kim, who would steal her thunder in the glamour stakes,” the source said.
Before making an official announcement, the source claimed that Markle is watching the political scene like a hawk. Prince Harry’s wife is also allegedly figuring out the best strategy she could take one.
“The worst scenario for her is going head-to-head with a celebrity, and she sees Kim as a genuine rival because of her wealth and popularity. They’re two fiery, competitive characters so expect some major fireworks,” the source said.
As of late, Markle has not yet said publicly commented on the matter. She hasn’t also publicly said anything about wanting to run for president.
But some royal experts are convinced that Markle could get into politics that’s why she decided to quit the royal family. As members of The Firm, royals are expected to not discuss political and religious matters because they need to remain neutral.
Meanwhile, West surprised his fans and critics earlier this month when he said that he would be running for president in 2020.
On his Twitter account, West posted a cryptic tweet the received 1.2 million likes and over 400,000 comments.
According to CNN, even though West claimed that he would be running for president, it doesn’t seem as though he really has the intention to move forward with a campaign.
West needs to complete a lot of things considering the elections are just four months away. As such, some tabloids are suggesting that the rapper could face off with Markle in 2024 and not in 2020.
However, one should take the claims made by the tabloid with a grain of salt until an official candidacy is filed. Until then, all of the stories about Markle running for president are just based on hearsays.
