Canadian-American singer Alanis Morissette has once again proved that she is the queen of emotive producing record breaking songs. Morissette releases her newest single "Reckoning" from her highly anticipated "Such Pretty Forks In The Road" album following "Smiling," "Reasons I Drink," and "Diagnosis."
Per NME, Morissette’s forthcoming album tracks sings about the challenges and stigma surrounding depression and other dispositions of mental illness. For the new track "Reckoning," it brings a dark and dreary message of how “predators” feed on its prey’s weaknesses. "And they pounced / As they would / While the guards were away,” the song continues.
From an article published by RollingStone, the incoming album of Morissette smudges “melancholia” and “mixed blessings," which was taken in full-power by the new track "Reckoning."

"Such Pretty Forks in the Road" is Morissette’s first album since her "Havoc and Bright Lights" album in 2012. The forthcoming album is set to come on the scene on the last day of July, after its original release date in May was deferred due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Morissette was set to hit the road this year with American singer-songwriter Liz Phair and rock quartet Garbage, goaled to showcase her new LP "Such Pretty Forks in the Road," as well as celebrating the 25th year of her iconic "Jagged Little Pill" album. Unluckily, the tour has been rescheduled to next year due to the agitating social unrest caused by COVID-19.
The U.K. dates will now be taking place in autumn following the hectic schedule of Morissette’s U.S. tour dates taking place next summer.
With "Jagged Little Pill" running strong on Broadway since the year began, Morissette dropped a music video for "Smiling" together with the musical cast. She also put on the market by releasing a "Jagged Little Pill" 25th anniversary deluxe edition album, giving prominence to an all-new acoustic version of "Ironic" from her London performance. Moreover, five videos from Morissette’s "Jagged Little Pill," specifically "Ironic," "You Oughta Know," "Hand In My Pocket," "You Learn," and "Head Over Feet," were refashioned in 4K resolution, feasting the fan’s eyes on the singer’s Youtube channel.
For the newcomers, Alanis Morissette, 46, is born and raised Canada, a singer, songwriter, occasional actress, and record producer. Morissette tied the knot with rapper Mario Treadway, also known as "Souleye," who gave her three children born in 2010, 2016, and 2019. Morissette has released nine chart-topping albums over the span of her music career that made her take home numerous awards and recognition.
