Nick Cordero, who was nominated for a Tony Award and acted in a string of Broadway theatrical performances, passed away at the young age of 41. He had massive health complications while suffering from COVID-19. 

Cordero has been applauded for his acting in movies like A Bronx Tale, Waitress, Rock of Ages, and Bullets Over Broadway. He was also known for TV shows such as Blue Bloods and passed away after contracting the deadly pandemic 90 days ago. 

The actor’s wife Amanda Kloots, who is a dancer and fitness trainer by profession, shared the news of her husband’s demise on her Instagram page. Kloots has been regularly updating her followers on her late husband’s battle against COVID-19.

Cordero was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles in March this year. The departed actor was 41 at the time of his death and had a year-old son called Elvis.  

In a touching message dedicated to Cordero, Kloots wrote “God has another angel in heaven now.” She informed her fans that her husband died on July 5 and the entire family was praying and singling for him as he passed away, Yahoo Entertainment reports. 

She mentioned how she was still in a state of disbelief. The fitness trainer seemed to be heart-broken as she mentioned she could not even think of their lives without him. Kloots also stated that her husband loved her and their son and that they will miss him every day no matter what they do.

Kloots also thanked all those people who have expressed their support and love to them during their difficult times for the last 95 days when Nick Cordero was fighting against coronavirus. The dancer said she will always love her husband and knew that her husband had tried his best to battle it out. 

”It was on Mar. 30 this year when the actor was admitted to the hospital’s emergency room. Cordero suffered a series of health setbacks during this period like blood clots, mini-strokes, tracheostomy, and even sepsis infections. 

The doctors had to even implant a temporary pacemaker to keep him going. He had been on a life support system and had lost his consciousness. The surgeons had to also amputate his right leg, The Indian Express reports. 

Amanda Kloots sent her husband Nick Cordero regular clips of their son and her so that he would not miss them whenever he was awake. She used to cheer up her late husband saying that he would soon be discharged from the hospital. Kloots even told him that he will soon be close to his son and they would dance together after he recovers.
