Hanna is a popular action and drama series created by David Farr. The second season of Hanna will introduce a new villain and he seems to be ruthless, harder, and toughest compared to the first season's villain.
Dermot Mulroney plays the new villain for this Amazon Prime Video series. Mulroney will be seen portraying the character of John Carmichael and gives a heads up to the fans that this is going to be the most dangerous and complex villain later in the series.
In a conversation with Entertainment Weekly, Mulroney reveals that viewers are going to learn about this character bit by bit like a good spy yarn. Viewers will be kept on an edge and ensure that they learn what the writer intends to share.
The 56-year-old actor further disclosed that the reason behind Utrax program in the first season was none other than John Carmichael.
Mulroney explained that it was John Carmichael who developed wolf-DNA-enhanced embryos, “They were the ones developing these wolf-DNA-enhanced embryos into full-grown female assassins to be used to the devices of the CIA and that inner sanctum group that I'm a member of.”
Mulroney thanked Farr for allowing him to play such a great character. In the second season, Utrax is going to train new killers as it reaches new highs to blend with common people in the world so that eventually they can accomplish the main mission.
Esme Creed-Miles has higher stakes this time who plays the title role, Hanna. She had vowed against the shadow government organization and will work hard and smart to destroy it. Mulroney revealed that he was eager to portray as a villain and his character does not resemble stereotype evildoer that keeps twirling their mustache as viewers might expect in such series.
However, Mulroney clarified that he doesn't see himself as an antagonist in the series as whatever he will do to Hanna is going to be his good intentions. In fact, the character will take care of Hanna as she will be a revelation and he learns about her only when she emerged from the forest in the first season.
The intentions are good because Hanna is essential for the program and the program is Carmichael's interest. The actor said that Mireille Enos’ character, which is played by Marissa Wiegler wants to get Hanna out of the country to keep her safe and that is not best in his interest.
