Girls who have dark circles under their eyes as a problem point can now rest easy as Kim Kardashian West has uploaded a makeup tutorial that shares with her 164 million Instagram followers how she covers up her own dark under-eye circles.
As recapped by Cosmopolitan, Kardashian’s whole look can be accomplished in just five minutes, easy enough to do before one head out of the house.
To start with, Kardashian said that one should start out without foundation or concealer so that they can clearly see the dark circles under their eyes.
With that to start with, people should then put on moisturizer and then use a highlighter stick to cover up the dark circles with a rough upside-down triangle shape.
Cheekbones can then be accentuated and foreheads “shortened” with the use of a contour stick. The contour can then be blended out with a stippling brush while the under-eye concealer can be blended out with a damp beauty sponge.
Afterward, the stippling brush can then be used on the edges of the under-eye concealer. This is done to make sure the area looks natural and not fake or too light.
Throughout the video, Kardashian used products from her own KKW makeup line. Just like most businesses, KKW has also been negatively impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
As ABC News reports, the brand’s Twitter account announced that they were temporarily closing their fulfillment centers in consideration of the health and safety of the community. While the brand’s website can still accept orders, the statement posted on Twitter said they could not guarantee a definite date of delivery. Kylie Cosmetics, the makeup company of Kardashian’s sister Kylie, has also temporarily closed its fulfillment centers.
Aside from this makeup tutorial, Kardashian was also recently in the news because of a reignited feud with singer Taylor Swift. The latest spat with the “Reputation” singer began when a 25-minute long video leaked online that seemed to stick with Taylor Swift’s version of events regarding the 2016 feud she had with Kardashian and her husband, Kanye West.
When Swift referenced the leaked post on her Instagram and included a link to the donation page of nonprofit organization Feeding America, Kardashian responded with nine tweets that labeled Swift as “self-serving” and lying about the 2016 conversation about West’s song, “Famous.”
Swift did not respond to the tweets, but her publicist, Tree Paine, reiterated that Swift was never told about the lyric “I made that bitch famous,” which the songstress had spoken out against back in 2016.
