A lucky fan gets to enjoy a virtual Zoom date with the Speed actor for 15 minutes. Funds collected through this auction will be donated to a society that works for children suffering from cancer and is called Camp Rainbow Gold.
The initial price of the 55-year-old star was estimated at $10,000 but is expected to go much higher. Camp Rainbow Gold is also organizing many other auctions including a virtual Zoom concert with the Fifth Harmony famed Ally Brooke and a guitar signed by singer-songwriter Andy Grammer, Daily Mail reports.
This is not the first time that Keanu Reeves is getting associated with a charity. The actor is reportedly donating money to various cancer charities, albeit secretly, as one of his sisters suffered from leukemia.
The bidding for this virtual date with the John Wick Chapter 2 star closed on June 22 this year. This intriguing auction is an initiative started by Camp Rainbow Gold after they had to postpone an event amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, even before Reeves agreed to be associated with this noble cause, he was a heartthrob on the Internet. Last year, this popular Hollywood actor opened up to Entertainment Tonight on how he feels to have such a dedicated fan following.
