Michael Ilesanmi and Angela Deem seem to be finally taking a decisive step in their marriage on TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After's the fifth season. As the couple had initial plans to get married in the United States but K-1 visa denial of Michael made them change their location and eventually had to get married in his home country, Nigeria.
In the recent episode, Deem visited her lawyer regarding her will, she wanted to discuss drawing up and even considering to leave her husband Ilesanmi out of it partially, if not completely. Moreover, the lawyer discussed with Deem about her husband’s confusing visa application status.
Deem visited a marriage lawyer after her daughter requested her to do so. Her immigration lawyer named Lew Tippett discussed detailed with her after a recent visit to OB/GYN that made her realize that she might be suffering from uterine cancer.
The 54-year-old ensured that if something happens to her, then her assets should be protected for her grandkids. She asked the lawyer, “If Michael and I get married, and something, God forbid, happens to me, he gets everything?” Tippett confirmed, yes, and asked if she wants to cut Ilesanmi out?
While the 90 Day Fiance star took some time to think and then clarified that she doesn’t plan to cut him off completely but just want to ensure that her grandchildren are treated first with her assets. Deem made it clear that she doesn't want to be harsh on him but doesn't want him to own everything either.
She explained that she is not a "spring chicken" to the producers of the show as she has promised her grandkids and that they will get everything that she owns. However, she also acknowledged the fact that her soon-to-be-husband should also get some stuff to be fair with him.
Deem agreed to give Ilesanmi 50% of the property if something goes wrong with her and the other half will go to her grandkids. But, now she is concerned about why Ilesanmi failed at his first visa interview.
If there is a problem with his criminal record or probably there is something else that could lead to permanent denial, then it could be an issue. The lawyer warned Deem that there could be a possibility about Ilesanmi's information with the embassy in Nigeria and any kind of action that he would have taken in his past, might have been noted by the intelligence.
