For the first time ever, hip hop superstar Drake has shared photos of his son, Adonis Graham, with the rest of the world.

Vulture reports that the Candian rapper revealed the photos on his Instagram account, @champagnepapi. Aside from four pictures of his son, the Instagram post also had pictures of Drake’s mom and dad as well as Sophie Brussaux, Adonis’s mom.

The post’s caption called on Drake’s Instagram followers to connect to their own “inner light” and make the choice to shift their awareness to something good. The lengthy Instagram caption ended with Drake declaring that he loves and misses his family and friends and that he can’t wait to be reunited with them.

Aside from the fact that this is the first time the world has seen Adonis, the photos also drew a lot of attention online because people were of the opinion that Adonis does not look like his father at all. Unlike Drake, Adonis has blue eyes, curly blonde hair, and fair skin.

Fans pointed out that Adonis resembled Drake’s mom to quell the speculations, but it looks like Brussaux took everything in stride. The former actress posted her own series of Adonis photos, ending with a manipulated photo that gave her and Drake blonde hair. In the caption, Brussaux jokes that people were wrong all this time thinking that Drake is dark-haired when the reality is that Drake was blonde all along. She also thanked God for a “beautiful family and amazing friends.”

The public first learned of Adonis Graham because of the diss track “The Story of Adidon” released by Pusha T. As explained by Vox, the diss track alleged that not only was Drake hiding a son from the world, he was also a deadbeat dad that did not support his own son and his son’s mother.

The diss track ended up influencing Drake’s 2018 double album, “Scorpion.” The album talked extensively about fatherhood. In it, Drake finally admits to being Adonis Graham’s father. He also talked about his complicated feelings about Brussaux, how overwhelmed he was when he first learned that he was a father, and how he resented the fact that his son was revealed to the world in the way that it was.

“Scorpion” also appears to directly respond to “The Story of Adidon.” In the album, Drake insists that he was not hiding his son from the world. Rather, he was hiding the world from his son.
