Megan Fox explained various aspects of Hollywood in her life after Jimmy Kimmel Live old clip started circulating on the internet. The clip sparked a discussion about her getting misogynistic mistreatment from director Michael Bay.
In the clip, Fox recalled how she got roped in as an extra for Bad Boys II in 2003 which was helmed by Bay. The video raged many fans to call out Hollywood and Bay for exploiting the actress sexually.
Some people resurfaced a story in which 34-year-old actress was asked to washed the 55-year-old director's car as an audition for 2007 released, Transformers. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles actress took her Instagram handle to respond to this audition and wrote a lengthy post on June 23.
“I know that a discussion has erupted online surrounding some of my experiences in Hollywood and the subsequent mishandling of this information by the media and society in general,” the actress wrote and posted as a picture. She further mentioned appreciating the support she received by her fans but there are certain things she did like to clarify.
Fox said that she felt in the event of retelling the story, the cast seems to be in a "sinister shadow" which is not the case according to her. The actress explained the entire casting episode with Bay as she was 15 or 16 years old at that time and the director wanted the actress to wear a bikini and heels for a particular scene.
However, Fox was underage for sitting at the bar because of which Bay came up with an idea and asked her to dance under a waterfall. She mentioned about the Transformers audition and clarified being 19 or 20 years old at that time.
Fox stressed on the word ‘work’ by adding quote marks on it and said that she was pretended to know how to use a wrench on a Ferrari while she was giving audition for one of the scenes. The Ferrari belonged to Bay, she added.
Platinum Dunes studio parking lot was the place where the actress auditioned while several other employees and crew members were present. She cleared that she wasn't undressed at any given point during her audition as many people assumed.
The Teen Choice Award winner again mentioned not being underage while shooting for this movie or giving an audition. Her car washing audition was a part of the actual script and she hoped that people won't form opinions based on rumors, instead be seeded with facts.
