Superstar actress and singer Jennifer Lopez, along with her fiance Alex Rodriguez and daughter Emme, are encouraging their fans to be more active during this time of social distancing. The three decided to play some baseball to pass the time.
HollywoodLife.com says that the cute video showing the family was posted by Alex Rodriguez himself. The 44-year-old former player for the New York Yankees took to Instagram to share the video. You can clearly see the three having fun while playing catch with a ball. Jennifer looked stylish in her workout ensemble of matching neon green and black. Rodriguez wrote a lengthy caption that turned poignant as he reflected on what is happening at present.
"This time off has reminded me how important it is to slow down and spend time with family. In my case, that means playing board games, embarrassing yourself at TikTok, trying to cook, and dressing up..." he wrote. He reiterated just how important social connection is and that there are ways to feel togetherness even when we have to stay apart. Of course, being the athlete that he is, Rodriguez encouraged his followers to find ways to exercise.
Rodriguez and Lopez have been dating since 2017. They announced their engagement two years later, in March 2019. This is not the first marriage for both, with Jennifer Lopez being married thrice before to Ojani Joa, Criss Judd and Marc Anthony who is the father of her twins, Emme and Max. The former Yankees star, who retired in 2016, was also married before, to Cynthia Scurtis, with whom he shares daughters Natasha and Ella. The couple has not talked about when they will get married yet. In the meantime, they are just enjoying their time with their blended family.
Jennifer made headlines just last month when she headlined the Superbowl halftime along with another Latina superstar, Shakira. Meanwhile, it seems that Rodriguez made news after a source said he was called by Trump for advice regarding the pandemic. This was denied by the president.
Meanwhile, the call for social distancing and quarantine still continues as the world goes through this pandemic crisis. The latest numbers show that there are now more than 739,000 coronavirus cases all over the world. Of the numbers cited, the United States has the most cases, with over 140,000. New York is still the state with the most positive cases, with over 59,000 cases followed by New Jersey and California.
