Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly wanted to trademark the Archewell brand as inspired by their son, Archie.
However, The Sun revealed that their plans have been roadblocked due to several reasons.
First, Prince Harry and Markle reportedly didn’t sign their application to have Archewell trademarked. Second, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex didn’t reportedly pay all the fees required to process their application.
Additionally, the information that the royal couple listed as part of their charity has been labeled as vague. The publication also said that there were several errors in the documents that Prince Harry and Markle already filed.
However, there’s still hope for the Archewell brand to be owned by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The Sun said that the royal couple has to complete and submit all the requirements before August 22 or their application will be classified as abandoned.
As of late, it is still unclear why Prince Harry and Markle didn’t push through with their plans to have Archewell trademarked. But the most sensible reason could be because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Since Prince Harry and Markle are self-quarantining in Beverly Hills, it might be difficult for them to submit their documents since they aren’t allowed to go out.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Markle also made headlines this week after it was revealed that Prince William has been keeping tabs on the royal couple even though he’s thousands of miles away.
A source told Fabulous Digital that the royal siblings have been talking to each other regularly on Zoom.
In related news, Prince Harry and Markle are also reportedly heartbroken over not being able to reunite with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip this month.
Even though the Sussexes relocated to the United States in March, they were reportedly scheduled to return to the United Kingdom to celebrate Prince Philip’s birthday and attend the Royal Ascot with the queen.
Unfortunately, the deadly coronavirus has made it impossible for the royal couple to travel overseas.
Prince Philip also celebrated his 99th birthday quietly at his home in Windsor Castle with the queen. And Her Majesty skipped this year’s Royal Ascot due to the ongoing health fears.
As of late, it is still unclear when Markle and Prince Harry will be able to reunite with their loved ones. And when the Sussexes will be able to travel back to the United Kingdom to be with them.
