They separated two years ago, but if recent pictures are to be believed it would seem like Shia LaBeouf and his former wife Mia Goth are back together again.
Metro reports that the 33-year-old “Nymphomaniac” star was seen jogging around Pasadena, California with his 26-year-old ex-wife. Aside from jogging around shirtless, LaBeouf was also seen biking around the park with Goth.
That park workout was soon followed by some PDA, as the couple settled on a bench and started kissing and cuddling. Metro also noted that LaBeouf and Goth had their wedding rings on, another sign that the two may have resolved their differences and gotten back together.
This isn’t the first sign that the couple has possibly reconciled and reunited. During the 2020 Academy Awards, LaBeouf was spotted wearing his wedding ring.
LaBeouf and Goth’s relationship is certainly one that has seen its share of ups and downs. The two met in 2012 on the set of Lars von Trier’s film “Nymphomaniac,” which was released in 2013. The couple eventually married in Las Vegas back in 2016.
That wedding was a story in and of itself. According to Vogue, the Las Vegas ceremony was “weird, wild.”
A year before their marriage, the couple were screaming and fighting with each other in public. The marriage was held in the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel and was live-streamed online and officiated by an Elvis impersonator. LaBeouf was seen crying as the vows were being recited, and near the end of the ceremony the Elvis impersonater asked if the couple were ready to “adopt each other’s hound dogs,” “be each other’s teddy bears,” and to give each other a “hunk a hunk a burning love.”
What brought an extra level of weirdness to the ceremony was that two days later, it was revealed that LaBeouf and Goth weren’t legally married and only a commitment ceremony had taken place.
Two years later, it looked like the marriage had failed after LaBeouf was seen with singer FKA Twigs. Twigs was previously in a relationship with actor Robert Pattinson. After LaBeouf and Twigs split up in 2019, he started dating Rebecca Schwartz, whose previous boyfriend was Mark Ronson.
LaBeouf’s last film was the 2019 comedy-drama “The Peanut Butter Falcon,” where he starred alongside Jon Bernthal, Thomas Haden Church, Bruce Dern, Dakota Johnson, John Hawkes, and Zack Gottsagen. The film was a surprise hit, earning $20 million and becoming 2019’s highest grossing independent film.
