Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt follows the footsteps of his former wife Jennifer Aniston and will also give a whopping $1 million as a donation to a charity called Color of Change like she did.
It was earlier reported that Jen donated $1 million to an organization called Color of Change after she was deeply disturbed when George Floyd passed away in police custody. Pitt, her former husband also donated a similar amount to the group on Saturday.
The 56-year-old star has been involved with this charity organization because of the Friends alum and had reportedly mentioned that his donation would match her. The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star divorced Aniston in 2005 after being married to her for five years.
The Hollywood hunk had participated in the ongoing protest march of the Black Lives Matter movement in Los Angeles and supposedly feels strongly about the cause. A source claimed Brad Pitt went to Jen’s home after attending the protests. Both of them are extremely passionate about the movement, The Mirror reports.
The organization where the ex-couple donated the money works to ensure equal justice for the Black population in the United States. The website mentions the organization aims to “build real power” for the Black people in America.
Jennifer Aniston made her contribution to the Color of Change after she got extremely moved by the brutal killing of Floyd in May 2020. The organization is a nonprofit human rights entity and is also the biggest online racial justice organization in the country.
An insider mentioned the actress was “deeply affected” like many other people after the incident took place and is reportedly shocked at the injustice being faced by the Black population in America every day.
Earlier this month, The Morning Show star uploaded a clip of James Baldwin. She also mentioned the week has been shattering for her for various reasons.
The Friends alum’s further stated people should accept that the Black people are facing brutality and racism for a long time in the United States. Jen feels that such incidents have “NEVER been okay.”
Jennifer Aniston’s benevolent gesture comes as many other celebrities from different professions in the nation also supporting the movement actively. They have been also donating magnanimously to various social justice and racial organizations.
Brad Pitt’s former wife Angelina Jolie donated $200K to a charity called the NAACP Legal Defense Fund while Drake disbursed more than $100K to a bail fund to get all those protestors of the Black Lives Matter movement released from police custody, Daily Mail reports.
