BLACKPINK has successfully wrapped up their encore performances in four major North American cities and is now heading back to where their grand journey began: Seoul.
On the 26th (local time), BLACKPINK took the stage at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, a massive venue accommodating approximately 51,000 attendees, for their encore concert. Thanks to the overwhelming support from local fans, the group managed to attract more than double the audience compared to their concert at the Bank of California in LA last November.
Kicking off the show with the powerful "Pink Venom," BLACKPINK captivated the audience for 115 minutes with their overwhelming live performances. They delivered hit after hit, including "Whistle," "Lovesick Girls," and "Shut Down." BLINKs (the fandom name) filled the stadium with their cheers and sing-alongs.
Each member showcased their unique charm with individual stages, heating up the atmosphere. Following the debut of Jisoo's "All Eyes On Me" in New Jersey on the 11th (local time), Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa also delivered impeccable solo performances.
The rich band sound that resonated throughout the stadium added vitality to the performance. The concert's quality was elevated by a combination of colorful lighting, LED displays, various special effects, and YG Entertainment's signature production expertise. The sea of pink light sticks, known as "Bbyongbong," created a spectacular sight.
Engaging with the audience until the very end, BLACKPINK expressed their gratitude, saying, "It's hard to believe this is our last performance in North America. We're thankful to our members for being with us throughout this nearly year-long tour. Thanks to your support, it's been an incredibly touching and happy time. We'll cherish these moments forever."
The fireworks that adorned the night sky in LA, New Jersey, and San Francisco left a lasting impression. A special event exclusively for BLACKPINK in Las Vegas also caught attention, where the entire city was illuminated in pink on the 18th (local time) to commemorate their concert.
With this, BLACKPINK successfully concluded their encore tour in North America, attracting close to 230,000 attendees across four cities in five performances. They made history as the first K-pop girl group to perform consecutively twice at MetLife and became the first global girl group to perform at Allegiant Stadium, Oracle Park, and Dodger Stadium.
After their triumphant U.S. encore tour, BLACKPINK is heading back to Seoul, where they announced the beginning of "The Pink." On September 16th and 17th, they plan to hold a concert at the Gocheok Dome, marking the grand finale of their world tour, which has attracted approximately 1.75 million attendees, setting the record for the largest scale world tour by a K-pop girl group.
