The Biden family's political dynamics have taken an intriguing turn, with President Joe Biden's sister, Valerie Biden, reportedly endorsing Meghan Markle for president over Vice President Kamala Harris. This unexpected development has sparked speculation and amusement, with Fox News star Greg Gutfeld suggesting that the Biden family might be deliberately trying to upset Harris.
Gutfeld, during his appearance on The Five, remarked, “I feel like the Biden family is trolling Kamala. Joe Biden’s sister is pushing Meghan Markle. You know that is upsetting Kamala Harris when the president’s sister is saying, ‘You know who will be a good president: Meghan Markle.' That is just jamming it in!"
The Fox News star further speculated on Harris's political future, suggesting that her best chance might be as California Governor Gavin Newsom's running mate. He added that having two representatives from California, which he referred to as "the worst state in the union," would be akin to choosing two members of The View to represent America in the Miss Universe pageant.
The relationship between Biden and Harris has reportedly been strained since they entered the White House. Biden once referred to Harris as a "work in progress," according to political writer Chris Whipple. Whipple's new book, "Fight of His Life," details the first half of the Biden-Harris Administration and reveals that Biden was annoyed with Harris's handling of voting rights, an assignment she had requested.
Rumors have also circulated that Biden was considering replacing Harris before announcing his 2024 presidential run. However, for now, Biden is sticking with Harris. During an interview with Stephen Colbert in March, Harris praised Biden as a "true partner" and an "extraordinary leader."
As the political landscape continues to shift, the Biden family's endorsement games and the future of the Biden-Harris partnership remain topics of keen interest.
