As the future monarch of the United Kingdom, Prince George, who recently turned 10, is reportedly becoming increasingly aware of the ongoing family drama involving his uncle, Prince Harry, and aunt, Meghan Markle. Royal commentator Tessa Dunlop has shed light on the young prince's growing understanding of his royal responsibilities, stating that George is ready to step up and play his part in the royal family.

The past year and a half have been tumultuous for the royal family, with significant events such as the death of the Queen, which has elevated the roles of Prince William and Kate Middleton, and by extension, their eldest son, George. "They can't possibly protect him from all of it; there's been huge events; the Queen has died, and that has pushed William and Kate up a gear, up a rank, and by definition, George as well," Dunlop explained.

As George approaches the age for secondary school, his parents are reportedly considering Eton College, the alma mater of both Prince William and Harry. The school's rich history and connection to the royal family could further prepare George for his future role as king.

In 2020, Prince William and Kate Middleton reportedly had a conversation with George about his future destiny as Sovereign. Given this, it was only a matter of time before George began to understand the implications of the "Megxit" drama. Despite having little interaction with his cousins, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet Diana, George is believed to be aware of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from family events over the years.

Royal biographer Angela Levin recently suggested that Prince George should be "kept away" from Prince Harry's "negative influence." Levin expressed concern over the Duke of Sussex's decision to step away from his royal duties, stating that such behavior is not an example a future monarch should follow.

As Prince William takes on more responsibilities as the heir to the British throne, sources indicate that Kate Middleton is stepping up to guide the family. An insider revealed, "Kate is fiercely protective when it comes to defending her family and the overall interests of the royal family. If that means fighting fire with fire at times, then she’s more than willing to do so — even if it makes her less popular with certain people."

As Prince George grows older, his understanding of his royal duties and the complexities of the royal family dynamics will continue to evolve. His readiness to step up at such a young age is a testament to his maturity and the guidance of his parents.
