Kate Middleton has been dubbed as too skinny by some royal fans. And others have also speculated on the possibility of the Duchess of Cambridge suffering from an eating disorder.
During her recent appearances prior to the coronavirus lockdown, Middleton appeared to be as slender as ever. In fact, even though Prince William’s wife already gave birth to three children, she’s still able to maintain her slim physique.
On the online forum site Quora, royal watcher Deanna Eppers said that there’s a reason why it’s not easy for Middleton to gain weight. She said that the Duchess of Cambridge could be an ectomorph.
According to Eppers, some models and ballet dancers may also be classified as ectomorphs because they are lean and long. And they also have a hard time gaining weight.
Mesomorphs are individuals that are muscular and athletic looking. Mesomorphs are also neither skinny nor fat, and they are somewhere in the middle. Instead of putting on fats quickly, they put on muscles.
Endomorphs, on the other hand, tend to put on weight more easily. And even with all types of diets, it is difficult for them to get rid of their weight.
Based on the royal fan’s observation, Eppers said that Middleton and her other relatives may all be classified as endomorphs. The royal fan also defended the future queen consort from accusations that she’s too skinny.
She said that the Duchess of Cambridge looks healthy because her hair is glossy and her face is not gaunt. When wearing certain types of clothing, it also becomes evident that Middleton has some muscles.
In 2013, Middleton was dubbed as painfully thin by novelist Hilary Mantel. During her lecture, she described Prince William’s wife as gloss-varnished. However, Mantel was criticized by the press for her vicious and venomous attack on the mom of three.
“Kate seems to have been selected for her role of princess because she was irreproachable; as painfully thin as anyone could wish, without quirks, oddities, without the risk of emergence of character,” she said.
And some royal fans claimed that though Middleton seems a little too skinny, they are in no position to diagnose her or say that she has an eating disorder like Princess Diana. After all, she has spoken publicly about her alleged struggles.
As such, it is important to note that the statements made by the individuals in this article are mainly based on their observations and hearsays.
