Gwen Stefani, the iconic No Doubt frontwoman, is reportedly upset over her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale's recent public comments about their co-parenting. The potential conflict brews as she and her husband, Blake Shelton, celebrate their second wedding anniversary, sources report.
Rossdale, 57, lead vocalist of the rock band Bush and Stefani's ex, is father to their three sons Kingston, 17, Zuma, 14, and Apollo, 9. He recently expressed their "opposing views" on parenting, stating, "You can either do everything together and really co-parent and see how that goes or you can just parent — and I think we just parent."
This statement, sources indicate, has not gone down well with Stefani, who believes Rossdale should exercise discretion in discussing their personal affairs. A source close to the situation revealed, "Gwen finds it challenging enough to coordinate the kids' logistics between them without Gavin publicly discussing their private life."
Stefani, 53, ended their 13-year marriage in 2015 amid rumors that Rossdale had an affair with their nanny, allegations he firmly denied. Since then, Stefani found love again with country star Blake Shelton, but her attempts to relocate their children to Shelton's Oklahoma ranch were reportedly thwarted by Rossdale.
According to sources, Rossdale's recent remarks have upset Shelton, who is now advocating for a face-to-face discussion to address the tension. "Blake has been advocating for an open dialogue with Gavin for a long time, but his efforts have always been obstructed," disclosed the insider. "He now feels the urgency to escalate matters — even if it involves surprise visits or legal intervention!"
Stefani and Shelton Celebrate Two Years of Marital Bliss
Meanwhile, the celebrity couple Stefani and Shelton marked their second wedding anniversary on Monday, sharing heartfelt messages and glimpses into their special day on July 3, 2021, via Instagram.
"Happy anniversary @gwenstefani!!!! Every day has been the best day since I met you," Shelton, 47, wrote next to a photo capturing a sweet moment in front of their grand wedding cake.
Stefani, on the other hand, shared a video compilation of their journey together, featuring their wedding and other cherished memories. The clip also included a family picture with her three sons.
The couple has more reasons to celebrate as Shelton received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in May, and it was recently announced that Stefani will be honored similarly in 2024.
