Meghan Markle is allegedly furious after learning that Prince Harry has a secret Facebook account. And that some of his messages there are between him and his ex-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy.
Mirror previously claimed that Prince Harry’s Facebook account is under the name Spike Wells. And his profile picture on the account is of him and Davy.
“It was a widely known secret back in the day, but it’s news to Meghan and she isn’t happy about it. Chelsy is the one woman who Meghan keeps an eye on – she knows Chelsy is the one that got away for Harry and that they’re still in touch,” a source said.
The insider also claimed that Markle hated the fact that Prince Harry invited his ex-girlfriend to their wedding that’s why she had Davy banned from their reception.
And the Suits alum is allegedly not pleased with Prince Harry and Davy’s final phone call when the exes told each other that they have finally moved on.
“Meghan has always feared that given the chance, Harry would have picked Chelsy over her, and news of this secret account has sent her head spinning. She’s wondering if he still has any secret Instagram or Facebook accounts, and whether he uses them to chat with Chelsy,” the source said.
According to Express, the Facebook account under the name Spike Wells has around 400 friends. And most of them are British socialites. There are speculations that the account really belongs to Prince Harry because it has photos of him and Davy.
The user’s location on the account is also listed as Maun, Botswana, which is the town that Prince Harry and Davy visited. The user’s listed interests include all kinds of sports, which is very similar to the Duke of Sussex.
However, the secret Facebook account has reportedly been deleted in 2012. And Dai Davies, a former head of royal protection for Scotland Yard said that Facebook accounts of the members of the royal family could pose a security risk.
He said that from a security point of view, he wouldn’t recommend those that belong to the royal family or other high-profile families to have their own Facebook account.
After all, the social media account is usually used to share photos and give updates on where the user is going. Facebook also has the check-in option that may be used to track where the high-profile individuals are at any given time.
