The United Talent Agency (UTA) chief, Jeremy Zimmer, recently questioned Meghan Markle's talent in the wake of her Spotify podcast deal going awry. Still, insiders reported that several of his agents showed interest in working with her, according to RadarOnline.com.

In December 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed a reportedly $20 million contract with Spotify. They produced one podcast series titled "Archetypes," with 12 episodes, before the partnership dissolved by mutual agreement.

Zimmer's comments came during the Cannes Lions advertising festival in France, where he publicly scrutinized the ended Spotify collaboration. He stated, "Turns out Meghan Markle was not a great audio talent, or necessarily any kind of talent," adding, "And, you know, just because you're famous doesn't make you great at something."

However, an industry insider questioned Zimmer's statement, asking, "So then why did Jeremy have multiple agents trying to sign Meghan? They were in serious pursuit."

"An agent from UTA was recently actively pursuing her," disclosed the insider to Page Six. However, an individual informed on the issue insisted that there were no recorded meetings or phone calls.

Zimmer's comments follow Bill Simmons, Spotify's podcast innovation and monetization chief, who had earlier lambasted the couple, branding them as "f---ing grifters."

Nonetheless, the Duchess of Sussex is not standing still. In April, she signed up with the Hollywood agency WME, aiming to expand her business pursuits across numerous facets of the agency and its broader ecosystem, including film and television production, brand partnerships, and more.

Despite her ongoing strides, RadarOnline.com exclusively reported that the couple might face challenges in securing projects that align with their vision after their Spotify deal's disintegration.

According to a palace source, the tags attached to the Sussexes "puts other companies on notice that the Sussexes may not be all they claim!" The future projects of the Duke and Duchess will likely continue to attract considerable attention and scrutiny.
