Renowned music sensation Tina Turner spent her final days grappling with deep sorrow and physical pain, according to sources close to the celebrated queen of rock 'n' roll. Turner's undisclosed final days were marked by mourning her sons' deaths, a battle against serious health conditions, and a profound longing for an end to her suffering.

Though the celebrated "Proud Mary" singer's representatives declared that her passing on May 24 at her home near Zurich, Switzerland, was due to "natural causes" following an extended illness, insiders paint a more distressing picture. At 83, Turner was enduring the effects of a stroke, kidney failure, and intestinal cancer, all while grieving for her sons, Craig and Ronnie.

Cher, a longtime friend of Turner's, revealed, "She was severely ill, and wished to keep it private. She had installed a dialysis machine at her home." Cher also shed light on Turner's state of mind in her final days, noting, "She once told me, ‘I’m really ready. I can't bear this anymore.’"

In a startling revelation in 2016, the legendary performer announced that she had registered with Exit, an assisted suicide organization, and was ready to bid farewell to her life. Her deteriorating health, exacerbated by high blood pressure, was causing her body to shut down when her adoring husband, Erwin Bach, stepped in to donate one of his kidneys in 2017.

According to Mark Bego, author of "Tina Turner: Break Every Rule," Bach was "Tina’s savior and her soulmate!" The couple, who met when Bach picked her up from the airport for a 1985 concert in Germany, were married in 2013 after being together for 27 years. Bach had proposed to Tina as early as 1989, on her 50th birthday.

Bego emphasized, "He shielded her from the outside world!"

In their secluded $76 million Swiss mansion, Turner and Bach spent most of her last days together, far from the prying eyes of the world. A plaque at their residence reportedly read: "Do not even think about bothering Tina Turner before noon."

The legendary singer's desire for an end was fuelled not only by her physical suffering but also the unbearable loss of her two sons. Craig, 59, died by suicide in 2018, while Ronnie, 62, passed away battling colon cancer outside his San Fernando Valley home last year.

Bego reflected on Turner's losses, stating, "It was a double whammy for Tina." He then added, "Tina’s finally pain-free and at peace now, reunited with her sons in the afterlife!"
