Hillary Clinton takes a wry swipe at former President Donald Trump. Following the announcement of Trump's indictment for the improper handling of classified documents, the Democratic politician responded by introducing merchandise that lampoons the ex-commander-in-chief.

The merchandise launched by Clinton features the slogan "BUT HER EMAILS", a reference to the controversy surrounding classified emails found on her private email server during her tenure as Secretary of State. Despite Clinton's insistence that the Department of Justice found no such classified emails in their investigation, a 2018 government report counters this claim, citing 193 classified emails that were indeed transmitted or received via the unsecured server.

Former FBI Director James Comey acknowledged that Clinton had mishandled classified information, but he did not pursue charges against the one-time Secretary of State.

In a sharp twist of irony considering Trump's present legal troubles, Clinton tweeted: "Bringing this back in light of recent news: Get a limited-edition But Her Emails hat and support @onwardtogether, groups working to strengthen our democracy."

Clinton's reference to the Onward Together organization suggests that the proceeds from the "BUT HER EMAILS Collection" would support the group's progressive agenda. Items from the collection, which includes mugs, T-shirts, hats, and stickers, are priced between $12 and $32.

While Clinton anticipated a positive reception for her merchandise, the response on social media was mixed, with some Twitter users criticizing what they perceived as her hypocrisy.

One user wrote, "The audacity of gloating over evading the same laws Trump is now accused of breaking is quite astounding, even for you." Another remarked, "Parading the fact that you avoided criminal prosecution thanks to a politicized justice system is not flattering. It's no surprise that Bill strayed so often, you unbearable creature."

One Twitter user went further, asserting, "Your treasonous actions should have landed you in jail ages ago, if our justice system wasn't so corrupt." Another advised, "I wouldn't be gloating right now. Remember, this sets a legal precedent that might not work out in your favor."

As Clinton rakes in profits from her merchandise sales, Trump is scheduled for arraignment in a federal court in Miami, Florida, on Tuesday, June 13, at 3 p.m.
