In the recently premiered third season of the reality show, The Kardashians, an emotional Kim Kardashian revealed the toll of former husband Kanye West's allegations. Speaking to her mother, Kris Jenner, Kardashian voiced her anxieties over the narratives being spun by West in various public forums.
The reality star opened up about the mounting pressure of the numerous unfounded claims made by West. "There’s been a lot going on with Kanye right now and things are going on in the media, radio shows, and interviews," a visibly upset Kardashian disclosed during a heart-to-heart conversation with Jenner.
Confiding in her mother, Kardashian underscored the struggle of maintaining her silence amid the storm of accusations levied by the controversial rapper. "I never post, like he has made up the most insane narrative about you and the [sex] tape...We stay silent through all the lies, all the stuff,” Kardashian professed, stressing her unwavering decision not to respond to West's claims publicly.
The founder of SKIMS seemed particularly affected by the toll taken on Jenner due to West's rumor of her alleged affair with Drake. She expressed her exhaustion with the situation, stating, "I am f**king exhausted… I can’t even be overwhelmed and have a bad day because no one else has their st together."
The 42-year-old celebrity, who filed for divorce from West in 2021, voiced her reluctance to remain a part of the narrative created by West. “I don’t want to be part of this narrative...I’m stuck with this for the rest of my life,” she confided.
Further, Kardashian criticized West for his public and private disparagement of her infamous sex tape with Ray J. She articulated her concerns about the long-term impact of his actions on their children: North, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 4.
"All of his shenanigans... is gonna be far more damaging to the kids one day than my tape will ever be,” Kardashian said emotionally, affirming her decision to maintain her silence for the sake of her children.
New episodes of The Kardashians will be streaming on Hulu every Thursday.
