Former US President Donald Trump has once again accused Meghan Markle of being disrespectful to the late Queen Elizabeth II. In a recent interview with GB News' Nigel Farage, Trump also expressed his surprise that King Charles invited his son, Prince Harry, to the coronation.
Trump claims Markle disrespected the Queen, saying, "I think she [Markle] has been very disrespectful to the Queen, frankly, even during that time. How can you be so disrespectful to the Queen?" He praised the Queen's decades-long reign, noting her ability to avoid controversy and mistakes throughout her time on the throne.
Though Trump did not specify how Markle disrespected Queen Elizabeth, he also commented on Prince Harry's attendance at the coronation. Trump expressed surprise that Harry was invited, given the critical remarks he made about the royal family in the Netflix docuseries "Harry & Meghan" and his book "Spare."
Trump said, "I think that it was very nice that they invited him, but I was a little surprised [because] he said some terrible things... when you see what he said... and the book ['Spare'] was just horrible."
This is not the first time Trump has criticized Meghan Markle. In a previous interview with Farage, also aired on GB News, he stated that he was "not a fan" of the Duchess of Sussex. Trump further claimed that Prince Harry had been "used horribly" by his wife, saying, "I think Harry's been used and been used terribly. I think it's ruined his relationship with his family, and it hurts the Queen."
He reiterated his belief that Markle had been disrespectful to the Queen and the royal family, saying, "I think [Meghan's] been very disrespectful to the Queen, who's such a great woman, such a great person, a historic person. I think she's very disrespectful to the royal family and most importantly, to the Queen."
Queen Elizabeth II passed away in September, and King Charles' coronation took place earlier this month.
