Lily Collins, star of "Emily in Paris," experienced a significant loss at the West Hollywood EDITION Hotel's luxury spa on May 6. TMZ reported that Collins' engagement ring and wedding band were among the items stolen during her visit.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the incident, but according to E! News, there was no sign of forced entry where her belongings were kept.
Collins received the rings from her husband, Chalie McDowell, 39, whom she married in September 2021. The actress proudly displayed her engagement ring in September 2020, sharing photos of McDowell's proposal on social media. "I've been waiting my lifetime for you, and I can't wait to spend our lifetime together," she wrote in the caption.
The couple got married a year later, and Collins shared a touching wedding photo on Instagram. In the image, the bride and groom embraced in a tender kiss, with Collins wrapping her arms around McDowell's shoulder and McDowell encircling her waist with his arms.
"I've never wanted to be someone's someone more than I do yours, and now I get to be your wife. On September 4th, 2021 we officially became each other's forever. I love you beyond @charliemcdowell," she captioned the photo.
In celebration of their first wedding anniversary in 2022, Collins posted candid pictures of the couple on Instagram. One photo featured McDowell taking a selfie as Collins kissed his cheek. "Thank you for being my rock, my constant source of love and laughs, and my emotional support throughout our time here yet again," the "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile" actress wrote. "Our faces pretty much sum up this season. We certainly know how to work hard and play hard together. I love you beyond @charliemcdowell, and I couldn't have done it without you."
In an interview with E! News in October, Collins provided insight into their marriage, stating that they "kind of conquer everything." She elaborated, "We've been through so many changes globally, personally, and to be able to have a partner next to you that makes you laugh in times when you need it the most and helps you emotionally get through things, like moving to a foreign country for four months."
