Fans eagerly awaiting Britney Spears' highly anticipated memoir will have to be patient, as the release faces delays due to legal issues.
The Sun reports that an insider claims the 41-year-old pop star has encountered resistance following her assertions about past romantic encounters with two prominent Hollywood celebrities. The source shared that many A-listers are feeling anxious about what Spears has written in her memoir, given her history of dating Justin Timberlake, Jason Trawick, Kevin Federline, and others.
The insider said, “Britney is brutally honest in the book — there are a lot of nervous A-listers. Strongly worded legal letters have been sent to the publishers by people who know Britney and who fear what she has written. There is no movement at the moment and there are concerns over when it will eventually be able to come out.”
Sam Lansky has been enlisted as a ghostwriter for the singer's book.
OK! previously reported that Spears' memoir is set to be a captivating read, covering a wide range of topics from her life. A source explained, “Britney’s book is a story of triumph. It will cover her most vulnerable moments, her childhood – being a little girl with big dreams – her breakup with Justin Timberlake, the moment she shaved her head, and her battle with her family over her conservatorship.”
The book will also detail her journey from escaping the stifling conservatorship to finding happiness with her husband, Sam Asghari.
