Celine Dion's "Love Again" co-stars have expressed their heartfelt support as the singer continues to battle health issues. Dion recently contributed new music for the romantic drama starring Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra, despite being diagnosed with Stiff-Person Syndrome and canceling her shows.
Although Dion was unable to attend the movie's screening due to her health, her co-stars sent their well wishes during the event at AMC Lincoln Square in New York City. In an exclusive interview with People, Chopra and Sam Heughan praised Dion for her talent and resilience in the face of her diagnosis.
Chopra, 40, described the legendary singer as "talented in every realm in every way," adding, "I wish her so much love and luck, and I know she wanted to be here, but I'm just so happy she's part of this movie. She's such an integral part of it."
Heughan, 43, commended Dion for being not only a music and cultural icon but also a genuinely good and humorous person. The "Outlander" star highlighted the pleasure of working with both Dion and Chopra in the movie. When asked if he offered any acting advice to Dion, who made her acting debut in the film, Heughan said he didn't think she needed any help, as she played herself in the movie.
Fans can look forward to hearing Dion's voice again when the 14-track soundtrack for "Love Again" is released on May 12. The album will feature the movie's title track and five additional new songs.
Dion premiered the title track in April, a month before the film's release. The music video, which is available on her official YouTube channel, features Dion singing "Love Again" accompanied by Rosaileen Scher on piano and Dan Wilson on acoustic guitar.
The release marked Dion's first creative endeavor since sharing her rare neurological disorder diagnosis in December. As the singer navigates her health struggles, the support from her "Love Again" co-stars and the anticipation for her new music offer encouragement and hope to her fans.
