Is the fairytale romance of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle facing a rough patch? Meghan's estranged sister, Samantha Markle, claims she has "seen signs" that the couple may be at odds during her recent interview with GB News.
The conversation turned to the "kiss cam" footage from Harry and Meghan's Lakers game appearance on April 25, which Samantha weighed in on. "It's so different and so inconsistent with her character," she remarked. "Previously, in all the photographs she was pining over him, putting her hands all over him, grabbing his hands, grabbing his back."
Samantha questioned the change in behavior, asking, "So what's up with this? Is this a symbol of separation? This is different. This is seemingly a statement on her part that she's not all that touchy feely right now."
Meghan's older sister went on to suggest that their actions indicate they are at an impasse and may be considering parting ways. She also hinted that their attendance at the basketball game might have been a PR stunt, pointing out that it occurred close to King Charles' Coronation. While Harry will be attending the event, Meghan will remain in California with their two children.
Samantha emphasized the need for the couple to work through their issues, saying, "They have to work that out, but in the meantime, they have to work out how they treat everybody around them, not only for the past but moving forward. And so hopefully, maybe counseling intervention could help."
Samantha wasn't the only one to raise concerns about the couple's relationship after the "kiss cam" footage was released. Royal expert Angela Levin shared her thoughts on the matter during an April 26 episode of Dan Wootton Tonight.
Host Wootton noted that Meghan appeared to turn away from Harry's attempt at a public kiss, comparing the situation to Princess Diana's famous rejection of Prince Charles at a polo match in 1992. He asked Levin if there was any purpose behind Meghan's actions.
Levin responded, "I think she didn't want him to kiss her. I think those days are possibly far less of an interest for her. Then she did this huge laugh, but it's all phoney — she's doing that laughter to tease him but really she doesn't want him near her." The royal biographer's comments added to the speculation surrounding the couple's relationship.
