Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are allegedly worried about their 1-year-old son Archie’s safety.
According to Us Weekly, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex think that Archie could get kidnapped by terrorists.
In recent weeks, there have been reports that Prince Harry and Markle called the police into their home after seeing several drones roaming outside their property.
“They’re living in fear and constantly looking over their shoulders. They can’t even spend time in the backyard because they’re scared of being watched... And they’re worried sick about Archie’s safety,” the source said.
Following a series of security threats, Prince Harry and Markle decided to amp up their team by spending $100,000 a month for their protection. And the cost of their security could reach $10 million per year.
As of late, the royal couple isn’t making anywhere near the cost of their security due to the coronavirus pandemic. In fact, they even asked Prince Charles to support their expenses until they could get back on their feet.
Amid these reports, the source said that Prince Harry is panicking because he feels powerless.
The source also said that even though the royal couple is worried about their safety, they decided to stay in California for now.
Prince Harry, who is a new resident of the United States, didn’t anticipate what his and his family’s life would be like when he announced his decision to quit.
“He saw LA through rose-colored glasses – he was thinking about the laidback lifestyle, the glorious weather, the beach. But being on vacation somewhere is different from living there. He had unrealistic expectations,” the source said.
Markle, on the other hand, didn’t think that her life in Los Angeles could be much worse than what she experienced in the United Kingdom. However, the recent events have been a rude awakening for the Suits alum.
“Harry and Meghan never experienced anything like this in the UK. They could’ve opted to move to a state that isn’t swarmed with photographers, like Massachusetts or Iowa, if they truly wanted to go under the radar. But they want to be able to enjoy the glamorous Hollywood lifestyle and make millions without the downside that comes with fame,” the source said.
However, one should take these claims with a grain of salt. Prince Harry and Markle have not directly opened up about their security fears and money problems.
