Brad Pitt has found a fresh start by purchasing a $5.5 million home, affectionately known as "The Steel House," as he looks forward to a future with his latest love, Ines de Ramon.
After selling his expansive Los Angeles compound to oil heiress Aileen Getty for an impressive $33 million, the 59-year-old actor swapped properties by acquiring Getty's nearby residence. The three-bedroom, 2,000-square-foot mid-century glass marvel is a significant downsize from his former estate, which featured five separate buildings, two acres of land, two swimming pools, multiple gardens, and a skate park.
The change in living arrangements aligns with Pitt's shift in personal life, as he transitions from his past with ex-wife Angelina Jolie and their six children to a new chapter with girlfriend Ines de Ramon.
"Brad is excited to be starting fresh," an insider reveals, according to Life & Style. "He'd barely been staying in his former home because there was so much bad history there. He is ready to create new memories in a new place with Ines."
The actor reportedly met the 32-year-old jewelry designer through mutual friends in November, and their relationship has quickly progressed. "Brad says the last five months have been a whirlwind," a source shares. "He's calling Ines his soulmate. They've moved fast."
De Ramon's divorce from Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley, 40, adds to the couple's potential for further growth. "Brad has been giving Ines advice on the process," a second source notes. "Of course, he's been there himself before — twice."
As Pitt continues to navigate his ongoing custody battle with Jolie, he and de Ramon maintain a casual atmosphere when his children are present. "When the kids are with Brad, he and Ines keep things casual," the insider explains, adding that she has met the children and also allows him space to spend time with them alone.
However, it seems that de Ramon's presence in Pitt's life will soon become more permanent. The insider states, "Ines will likely be moving in with Brad permanently!"
