Madonna, the iconic 64-year-old singer, may be having second thoughts about her facial enhancements. Despite defending her appearance after criticism at the Grammy Awards, sources say the "Material Girl" is now considering a more natural look as her Celebration world tour approaches in July, Star magazine reported.
"Madonna's hinted she wants a more natural look and might be willing to get some of the fillers dissolved to speed up the process," an insider reveals. Another source adds, "She's desperate to undo some of the fillers and work she's had done before she embarks on her tour."
The singer's journey began with a few nips and tucks but spiraled into an ongoing cycle of fillers and lifts. Now, Madonna hopes to subtly reverse the changes. "Her plan is to slowly dissolve some of the fillers and get some nips and tucks to rejuvenate her face," says the second source, emphasizing that she doesn't want the changes to be too drastic or noticeable.
Despite her concerns about her facial appearance, Madonna is confident in her fitness. As her tour nears, she dedicates three hours per day to working out. "It's silly the way she gets worked up over aging," the first source comments. "Especially when she's in such great shape."
Upcoming 81-date Celebration Tour
Preparations for the upcoming 81-date Celebration Tour, Madonna's biggest production yet, are well underway. The tour celebrates her four-decade career and is her first greatest hits tour, not promoting a specific album. Madonna shared images of herself in a rehearsal studio on Instagram, captioning the photos with a Wizard of Oz reference: "No place like home…"
The Celebration Tour, set to begin on July 15 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, features RuPaul's Drag Race #8 champion Bob the Drag Queen as the opening act. After knee and hip injuries forced Madonna to cancel 14 shows during her previous 75-date Madame X Tour in 2019-2020, she underwent knee surgery in April 2020 and hip surgery in November 2020. The singer is eager for a smoother tour experience this time around.
Meanwhile, Julia Garner remains hopeful about the future of Madonna's self-directed Universal Pictures biopic, "Little Sparrow," despite reports that the project was scrapped. Garner told ET on March 12, "I don't want to tell too much. I want to keep things... yeah, fingers crossed!" Madonna co-wrote the script with Oscar-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody, later replaced by Independent Spirit Award-winning screenwriter Erin Wilson (The Girl on the Train, Secretary).
