Sunny Hostin is reportedly striving to establish herself as a prominent figure on The View, resulting in conflicts with the show's moderator, Whoopi Goldberg, according to insiders. A recent on-air disagreement about artificial intelligence saw Whoopi, 67, visibly annoyed by panelist Sunny, raising eyebrows among those present.
"Sunny is really pushing the show's boundaries to carve out a position for herself as a 'new' voice for women," said a source. Hostin, 54, has had disagreements with several of her co-panelists, including Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin, as well as guests Gretchen Carlson and Caitlyn Jenner.
Sources suggest that Sunny sees an opportunity to take over as the show's moderator due to Whoopi's recent on-air blunders and outbursts, which have left her vulnerable. Goldberg, who earns an impressive $8 million a year, has experienced health issues, clashed with colleagues, and was forced to apologize for anti-Semitic comments in the past.
Although another insider claims that the two women get along and Goldberg has a long-term contract, a source told The ENQUIRER, "Whoopi has become an embarrassment, and Sunny is trying to capitalize on that for her own benefit. Sunny wants execs to know she's every bit as strong and smart as Whoopi – and less of a ticking time bomb!"
In a separate matter, Whoopi Goldberg is reportedly considering liposuction to address her increasing weight. An insider shared that Whoopi refuses to diet or give up frozen pizzas, but she wants to slim down her waist, buttocks, thighs, and breasts, as well as remove her double chin. The source added that improving her diet could be beneficial, but she has no interest in eating healthily.
However, another source denies that Whoopi has gained weight and asserts that rumors about liposuction are unfounded. The source countered, "She loves junk food and she's never been inside a gym, but any expert will tell you – lipo isn't a replacement for diet and exercise."
