The couple has recently reconnected, and with Thompson's trade to Kardashian's hometown NBA team, he will be closer to her and their family. However, Kardashian remains vigilant.

An insider shared, "Khloé is supportive of Tristan joining the L.A. Lakers. She wants him to have a career. Having Tristan on the road again concerns Khloé. This is when all the cheating happened in the past."

Together, Kardashian and Thompson have a 4-year-old daughter, True, and an 8-month-old son whose name has not been disclosed. At the time of True's birth, they were in a relationship, but Kardashian discovered during delivery that Thompson had been unfaithful.

According to a source, the former couple has grown closer lately: "Khloé and Tristan became very close again after his mom [Andrea] passed away. They celebrated Easter together with their kids and her family."

Another source told PEOPLE that Kardashian believes Thompson is a great father, which she appreciates. The insider added, "That sometimes makes it harder to completely shut the door on anything romantic."
