Former First Lady Melania Trump reemerged on social media on Easter Sunday, just days after her husband, Donald Trump, faced indictment on over 30 counts of business fraud in New York. Melania tweeted "Happy Easter!" along with an image of a pink rose, receiving over 2,300 retweets and 31,000 likes, with more than 760,000 people viewing the post.

Prior to the Easter tweet, Melania's last Twitter activity was on March 10, when she retweeted a post about her Be Best initiative's non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Melania's silence had been noticeable during the recent indictment proceedings involving her husband.

She was not present when the former president surrendered to authorities and was arraigned at a Manhattan courthouse on Tuesday. Melania also did not attend Trump's post-indictment press conference at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, though three of Trump's children, Eric, Donald Jr., and Tiffany, were in attendance.

During the press conference, Trump thanked his family for their support, specifically mentioning his children and their spouses, but did not mention Melania.

A source told People magazine that the former first lady may still be upset with Trump regarding the alleged hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign. Despite this, the source stated that Melania will continue to support her husband through his legal challenges, saying, "That's what she does. They are a family."

On Easter, Trump himself posted a controversial message on his Truth Social account, which read, "Happy Easter to all, including those that dream endlessly of destroying our country because they are incapable of dreaming about anything else." He also criticized his political adversaries, including Republicans he referred to as "RINOs" or "Republican in Name Only."

Last week, Trump pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records related to alleged hush money payments to Daniels. As the first sitting or former U.S. president to be indicted on criminal charges, Trump is expected to return to the Manhattan courthouse on December 4th.
