Becky G's fiancé, Sebastian Lletget, has addressed recent cheating rumors and committed to regaining her trust, while also announcing his decision to join a mental wellness program.
Lletget, a 30-year-old FC Dallas soccer player, shared an extensive statement on Instagram, touching upon a "10-minute lapse in judgment," an alleged extortion attempt, and his commitment to mental wellness.
In the post, Lletget apologized to Becky G, 26, stating, "I am so sorry and know I have to do whatever it takes to earn back the trust and love you deserve." The allegations surfaced after an Instagram user claimed to have evidence of Lletget's infidelity in February.
In his statement, Lletget reflected on his personal and professional growth since his relationship with the "MAMIII" singer began in 2016. However, he also admitted to struggling with personal trauma, anxiety, denial, pride, and poor decisions.
Lletget detailed a recent extortion attempt, stating that it "has now become a public social media spectacle filled with more lies than any truth." He referred to it as "the loudest alarm of my life" and acknowledged that he must face his demons and past actions.
He expressed his commitment to improve, stating, "I have decided to commit myself to a mental wellness program to work on the parts of me that deeply need healing." Representatives for Becky G and Lletget have not yet responded to requests for comment.
The cheating allegations surfaced after a woman posted on Instagram that she had evidence of Lletget's infidelity, offering to share it privately. Last week, a screen recording circulated on Twitter, allegedly displaying Instagram DM conversations and voice messages between the woman and Lletget.
