Khloe Kardashian is reflecting on her health and fitness journey, and how she began prioritizing these aspects of her life following her divorce from Lamar Odom.
Citing the recent interview the 38-year-old reality star did with Instyle, People said she opened up about the matter, noting that it all began because she did not know what to do after their separation.
Kardashian is said to have shared in the exchange that her divorce was the “reason why I turned to the gym,” noting that she “didn’t really know what to do.”
The Good American co-founder continued, “Of course, in the beginning, you [have to] get over that hump of it being really hard and something so new for you,” before saying, “But I felt so accomplished,” as per the outlet.
Us Weekly recalls in a report that it was pretty much love at first sight for Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian.
As noted, the reality star and the former NBA player tied the knot in September 2009 after about a month of dating.
The publication continues that the two personalities were in wedded bliss in the years that followed, adding that their hit reality series, “Khloe & Lamar,” documented that journey.
However, the romance is said to have unraveled in late 2013, leading to their split.
While Kardashian initially filed for divorce, she called it off in late 2015 to focus on helping Odom and his health. She made the filing again earlier in 2016 following his recovery, and the divorce was finalized later that year, as per the publication.
Meanwhile, Khloe Kardashian’s recent reflection on her health and fitness journey, specifically how it began for her, came after she was asked in the interview with InStyle about the mental benefits of working out.
In her response, the “Kardashians” star also noted that she is “sort of a control freak,” before noting, however, that “in life, we can’t control everything.”
Even so, Kardashian stated that the case is seemingly different when it comes to the gym, saying, “...what I put in it, I know I’m going to get out of it. And being a control freak - I’m proud of it - I love that I have that control.”
The “Revenge Body” host continued that the mental release from working out is another benefit.
Khloe Kardashian shared in the same exchange, “If I’m having a really bad day, I go to the gym. I might not want to go to the gym, but I go and right when I’m done, I feel so much lighter…”
