Kate Middleton and Prince William are in Wales ahead of the feast day of St. David, the patron saint of the country.
People said the royal couple headed to South Wales on Tuesday as they continued to gear up for their first St. David’s Day as the Prince and Princess of Wales.
The two working royals had their first stop at the Brynawel Rehabilitation Centre, with the magazine noting that they saw the development of a new garden. As stated, aside from helping the creation of an outdoor space for growing vegetables, the initiative will also encourage better mental health.
The future King and Queen Consort are then said to have visited the headquarters of the Wales Air Ambulance, marking their last engagement of the day.
Earlier in the day, Prince William and Kate Middleton also traveled to Aberavon Leisure & Fitness Centre to hear about how sport and exercise can boost and support mental health, as per MailOnline.
During the visit, it is stated that the royal couple took part in a spin class, as well, where they did a 45-second race.
Despite wearing a skirt and heeled boots, the Princess of Wales won the race, resulting in her receiving a small trophy, as per the outlet.
People shared elsewhere in its report, published Tuesday, that Kate Middleton and Prince William will attend the annual St. David’s Day parade in Windsor on Wednesday.
Alongside marking their first feast day for Wales’ patron saint as the Prince and Princess of Wales, it will also serve as the first time for the royal-born Prince to visit the Welsh Guards since receiving the honorary Colonel of the Welsh Guards title from King Charles III in December, as per the magazine.
The British Monarch named the royal couple the new Prince and Princess of Wales in September. It came a day after the Queen’s passing, with him becoming the new sovereign.
Later that month, Kate Middleton and Prince William made their first official visit to Wales since receiving their new titles.
At the time, Entertainment Tonight shared that the Prince and Princess of Wales had a series of engagements where they met with people, visited communities, and learned about local charitable organizations.
In the same report, the outlet recalled that the royal couple are no strangers to the country, noting that they lived in Anglesey shortly after welcoming their first-born son.
ET also learned from a source then that Wales is a special place for the royal-born Prince as his parents, now-King Charles III and Princess Diana, brought him to the country for his first royal engagement when he was eight.
