Shawn Mendes and Sabrina Carpenter were seen together out and about after they first sparked romance speculations.
Us Weekly obtained a photo of the 24-year-old artist and the 23-year-old singer from their Los Angeles outing over the weekend. As described, they were all smiles as they strolled in West Hollywood, adding that she looked happy while conversing with him.
Mendes is said to have kept it casual with his blue corduroy pants, white tee, and a jean jacket.
As for Carpenter, she donned a black sweatsuit and a pair of sneakers for the outing, as per the outlet.
In its report, covering the two artists’ outing on Sunday, Page Six said the sighting of the pair comes a week after the dating claims involving them first emerged.
The publication noted that celebrity gossip account Deuxmoi obtained an anonymous tip, with the informant claiming that Shawn Mendes and Sabrina Carpenter appeared “verrry comfortable” while “clearly on a date” in Los Angeles days after Valentine’s Day.
Following the claims, though, neither the “Stitches” singer nor the “Eyes Wide Open” artist has addressed the reports. They have also yet to comment on the matter, making it unclear whether they are dating.
Sunday’s sighting of Shawn Mendes and Sabrina Carpenter also comes more than a year after he and Camila Cabello announced their split.
The two personalities took to their Instagram Stories to share their joint statement about their decision to part ways in November 2021.
Mendes and Cabello said they had “decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever.”
The two artists also noted that they began their relationship “as best friends and will continue to be best friends,” before adding, “We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward,” and signed the message with their names, “Camila and Shawn,” to conclude the post.
Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes reportedly first met in 2014. They are said to have stayed as close friends in the years that followed before becoming romantically linked to each other in 2019.
Following the split in late 2021, a source spoke to Us Weekly then and stated that the two artists “decided they need a break from each other to evaluate where each of them are at,” adding that “they’re not saying never, just not now.”
It is also stated at the time that the split “does hurt, but they’re both certain this is for the best. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have done it.”
