King Charles III reportedly wants Prince Harry to attend the coronation this May.

People reported that the assertion came from a source who is said to be close to the royal household. As claimed, the new British Monarch wants his youngest child to witness the historic event.

Speaking to the magazine for this week’s cover story, the insider noted that the coronation “is such a momentous occasion” for the King. Accordingly, it is noted that “he would want his son to be” there “to witness it,” adding that “he would like to have Harry back in the family.”

Unlike Prince William, who is allegedly the “most upset” following the release of "Spare," with the insider noting that he “needs time to calm down,” King Charles III reportedly wants things to “calm down” in time for the coronation, which will occur on May 6.

The same source told the magazine, which first published the claims earlier on Wednesday, that “if they don’t sort it out, it will always be part of the King’s reign.” This is said to be on top of the thought of “how he has left his family disjointed.”

The British Monarch also allegedly “has had a reputation as a distant parent.” As noted, this “would be awful for him for that to continue.”

Meanwhile, Angela Levin shared similar claims about King Charles III during a recent exchange with Us Weekly.

On Tuesday, the royal expert spoke to the publication and discussed the matter while promoting her new book, “Camilla: From Outcast to Queen Consort.” She stated that the monarch “loves” Prince Harry, adding that he is not giving up on his youngest son.

In the exchange, Levin noted that while the King “is a monarch,” she said that “he’s also a father.” She continued that he might not like what the Duke of Sussex is doing, “but he loves him and there’s a weakness there for him,” before noting, “He doesn’t want to lose him as a son.”

People shared elsewhere in its report, published Thursday, what Robert Lacey stated about King Charles III and the British Royal Family.

The royal historian told the magazine that apart from the King’s “paternal hope to reunite” with Prince Harry, “one of the jobs of the royal family is showing how to cope with the problems we all have in a human and thoughtful way.”

Lacey added, “What will be a success for the family in the future is not reconciliation necessarily, but mutual acceptance of different ideas and priorities.”
